Help With Downloads
Unless you get an .exe file, you'll need a program such as winzip or pkzip first. (I have the url on the links page).
Then find the location of your file and use the wizard to extract. Extract to c:\program files\maxis\the sims\gamedata\skins, roofs, objects, floors, walls, userobjects, or whatever elese the download may fit under. Or, if the site suggests, extract to c:\program files\maxis\the sims\downloads.
Sometimes you may want to preview skins or other files with things such as sim show or homecrafter, which you can get from the maxis site under get cool stuff and make cool stuff. If your downloads become a problem, get file cop from maxis also under get cool stuff or elisims from elandnews.com. |
